NMR-Based Methods for Protein Analysis

Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy is a well-established method for analyzing protein structure, interaction, and dynamics at atomic resolution in various sample states including solution state, solid membranous environment. Thanks to rapid NMR methodology development, the past decade has witnessed growing number of studies complex systems ranging from membrane mimetics living cells, which pushes research frontier further toward physiological environments offers unique insights elucidating functional mechanisms. In particular, in-cell become choice bridging huge gap between structural biology cell biology. Herein, we review recent developments applications methods analysis close-to-physiological environments, with special emphasis on determination dynamics, both difficult be accessed by traditional methods.
